Mind as Servant, Not Master: How to Redirect Your Focus-1

❓ QUESTION:

Lee, please tell me how much "mental chatter"—the constant loop of thoughts in the head—interferes with abundance and the state of "I Am"? I have heard that it is best when thoughts are absent and you simply perceive reality like a dashcam without analysis. And if you are constantly daydreaming, even about positive things, it supposedly scatters your energy. Is that really true?

❗️ LEE'S ANSWER:

Increasing your energy literally means focusing your attention on a single event.

Conversely, the literal dissipation of energy occurs when your focus is scattered across a multitude of events.

Thinking as an attempt to find a solution often results in energy being spread thin through a repetitive cycle: identifying the problem, dissecting the issue, analyzing why things aren't working, observing how others do it, reviewing past failed attempts, and cataloging every possible dead end.

Thinking as a focus on the solution sounds like this: "How do I feel right here and now, knowing the issue is already resolved?" The entire focus of your attention remains fixed RIGHT HERE, where all your energy is concentrated.

In the first scenario, a person is unaware of their emotions or the nature of their thoughts because they are not present; they are elsewhere, dissipated across the details of the problem. Consequently, the body receives the "chemistry of the problem," entering a state of struggle and suffering.

In the second scenario, the individual remains conscious of their choices, emotions, focus, and body, actively deciding what signals to transmit to the physical self—such as a flow of ideas or a state of relaxation.

Truly feel the difference between these states. This is not about abstract concepts or solving another problem called "stopping thoughts"; rather, it is about understanding the types of thoughts you have and giving the mind tasks it is actually equipped to handle.

By doing so, you become the one who directs your thoughts rather than fighting them. They become your servants instead of your masters. Thus, if a specific process requires no thought, you simply do not engage them. This occurs effortlessly. After all, you are the authority, and your mind is fully aware of who is the master of the house.
