The Attention Economy: Clearing Debt Begins with a Mindset Shift-1

QUESTION:

How to feel the vibration of money? | Simple Skills

Dear lee, could you please clarify: is debt something a person owes to themselves, or is it the Higher Self’s way of awakening them to something new, helping them grow beyond their limitations and discover their inner power? While much has been written on this topic, questions still remain; if possible, could you explore this from a different perspective?

RESPONSE from lee:

To begin with, Abundance is an absolute and unconditional fact of our existence.

Furthermore, what we define as "wealth" is simply the facet of abundance that affirms "I can." Conversely, "scarcity" is the affirmation of "I cannot." Taken together, both states reflect an abundance of whatever you believe about yourself. In other words, the Universe fully validates and fulfills both assertions.

When an "I cannot" mentality takes priority—whether it is regarding solving problems, finding answers, or taking action—this mental weight manifests in the physical world as specific events. Regardless of who you are, your education, your successes, your family background, or your savings, the world reflects the core idea and your thoughts on the matter.

Thus, debt is essentially the thought "I cannot manage this on my own," which is then reinforced by fears and self-criticism over missed payments. This creates a downward spiral where your thinking pulls your attention away, attracting an "abundance of lack."

There is a practical technique: "pay off the bottom of your list faster than required." This means settling debts with smaller creditors earlier than scheduled. Doing so fosters a sense of "I can" and fundamentally shifts your self-perception. This breaks the downward spiral and allows the upward climb to begin.

Please note that this is entirely about mindset and the amount of time dedicated to "I can" versus "I cannot" thoughts. These mental patterns alone determine the physical balance of abundance in your life.

The mind, as a physical processor, cannot find a tangible action to escape an "I cannot" state. It simply lacks that function, so there is no point in torturing the mind with a fruitless search for a way out of the "debt spiral." However, shifting the weight of your attention is a genuine solution to the problem. If a person recognizes how their negative beliefs influence them, it becomes much easier to maintain a focus on "I can." After all, the very structure of our thinking is built entirely upon our underlying beliefs.

There is nothing you are truly incapable of doing; there is only a belief that claims you are. Most often, this belief is perceived as an "objective reality," which makes it invisible to direct observation—hidden in plain sight.

Therefore, delve into the nature and meaning of your beliefs, and as you do, your Higher Self will lead you via the shortest path to identifying these limitations. Understand that you have no other problem to solve except the negative impact of these "I cannot" beliefs.

Karma, the stars, external events, other people, or any other entities can neither help nor hinder you if you grasp the specific nature of your beliefs. This is the most direct way to resolve the issue of debt. Even if you never fully understand the mechanics, your mind will still be diverted from destructive self-ideas. Your Higher Self will certainly provide you with something beneficial the moment you begin to shift your focus.
