Florida Steakhouse Introduces Nude Dinners to Survive Crisis

Edited by: Svitlana Velhush

At the C.L.A.S.S. Soiree steakhouse in Hollywood, Florida, guests remove their clothing on the first Monday of each month before a five-course dinner is served. Chef Maurad Ali introduced this nude dining format three months ago, and he says it's precisely what is helping the restaurant stay afloat during a challenging economic situation.

The restaurant has been in operation for eight years, open every evening from 6 PM until 11:30 PM. Heavy curtains cover the windows, each guest is offered a robe and a towel for their lap, and the leather seats are meticulously disinfected after every event. The concept originated after a client rented the space for a private nudist party, which led Ali to decide to turn a one-off experiment into a regular practice.

The menu features classic steaks, but also includes vegan alternatives. Guests come not just for the meat, but for the sense of freedom and community that emerges when clothing is no longer a requirement. Ali emphasizes that it's a safe space where people can simply be themselves at the table.

With its hot climate and constant flow of tourists, Florida has long been accustomed to unconventional entertainment formats; however, the combination of fine dining and full nudity remains a rarity even here. The economic pressures of recent years have compelled owners to seek new ways to attract customers, and nude dining has become one such strategy.

The next clothing-optional evening is scheduled for September 7. Reservations are limited, and Ali warns that the format isn't for everyone, but that's precisely why it is successful. Guests who dare to attend either return or recommend it to friends, allowing the restaurant to gain enthusiastic feedback at a time when regular evenings don't always fill the hall.

At a time when many establishments are closing their doors, Ali's experiment demonstrates how a traditional steakhouse can adapt while maintaining its focus on food quality and service. Sanitation, privacy, and voluntariness remain the key guiding principles.

Ultimately, nude dining at C.L.A.S.S. Soiree is not just a marketing gimmick, but a way to preserve a vibrant establishment where food and human connection still come together around one table.
