Restaurants have found a new way to save money: why pay a photographer, a chef for a beautiful presentation, and a person who then spends two hours nudging a basil leaf three millimeters to the right, when you can just tell artificial intelligence:
"Draw a very delicious pizza."
AI replied:
β No problem. And how much cheese should the pizza have?
β More.
β Got it. All the cheese in the world.
And it began.
Burgers started appearing on the menu so perfect that a human jaw physically couldn't open wide enough for them. Pizzas with cheese stretching somewhere beyond the edge of the photo. Cakes with frosting that violates several laws of physics.
And then came the shrimp.
Some looked as if AI roughly understands the concept of a shrimp but decided to figure out the details on its own.
One head.

Six tails.
So many legs that it could serve the neighboring table by itself.
A customer looks at the menu and no longer thinks:
"Mmm, seafood."
He thinks:
"Good Lord, where does it live?"
The most wonderful thing is that restaurant photos used to be accused of making the food look too good.
Now the problem is the opposite.
You order a burger based on the picture and hope that the real one turns out to be less like the photo.

Desserts have it especially hard.
AI really loves chocolate.
So, the request:
βMake a little chocolate sauceβ
it sometimes understands it as:
βFlood Europe with chocolate.β
As a result, a tiny piece of cheesecake stands in the middle of a brown ocean, and next to it lie seven strawberries of identical shape, as if they had just graduated from a military academy.
But perhaps we are underestimating the new technology.
Nutritionists have been explaining to people for decades:
β Eat less.
AI solved the problem much more effectively.
You just have to open the menu.
To see a shrimp with six tails, a burger the size of a microwave, and a salad where a tomato is suspiciously staring right at you.
And to tell the waiter:
β You know whatβ¦ I'll just have water. π
So it turns out artificial intelligence really did revolutionize the food service industry.

It was the first to learn how to reduce a dish's calorie content before it was even brought to the table.
