In the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, a story unfolded that left locals with only one question:
how did he even get up there?
On the evening of 6 September, the residents of the village of Daduni spotted a… bull atop a water tower.
Not a bird.
Not a monkey.
Not a human.
A bull.
The height of the structure is about 18 metres.
And judging by the animal's behaviour, he was quite comfortable up there.
The first attempts to persuade the unusual high-altitude climber to come down were unsuccessful. The bull remained on the tower hour after hour, while below, residents, rescuers and everyone curious to see how this rural version of Mission: Impossible would end gradually gathered.
A day passed.
Then part of the next.
In the end, the bull spent roughly 42 hoursup there.
That is, he had essentially managed to enjoy a full-fledged mini-vacation with a panoramic view.
When it became clear that he had no intention of coming down voluntarily, a veterinarian was brought in. The animal was given a sedative, after which the real rescue operation began.
The bull was carefully secured and lowered from the tower with the help of a crane.
The whole operation took about two hours and ended successfully.
But the most wonderful thing about this story is that the mystery remained a mystery.
No one ever really figured out how such a massive animal ended up at such a height in the first place.
There is a ladder there, but picturing a bull methodically climbing up step by step is still rather difficult.
It makes for an almost perfect riddle:
they managed to get the bull down.
Explaining how he got up there — no.
And somewhere deep inside, this bull is probably still certain:
the view from the top was worth it. 😄
