In the Indian state of Bihar, the family of the owner of a brand-new Mahindra Scorpio Classic decided to take the issue of vehicle security as literally as possible.
An ordinary parking spot? Too simple.
A garage? Not secure enough.
So they called in a crane, which carefully lifted the SUV and placed it… on the roof of a two-story house.
The car belongs to Manoj Yadav from Gopalganj. He himself works in Israel, and the driver who was left with the car later left. The family began to worry that the expensive SUV would be left unattended, and they found a solution that can hardly be called standard. (India Today)
The viral video quickly reached the head of Mahindra, Anand Mahindra.
He appreciated the ingenuity and joked that this is indeed “parking on a whole new level,” but immediately asked the main question: is the roof even designed to support the weight of such a vehicle?
And he asked other car owners not to repeat the experiment. (India Today)
It turns out to be a great security system:
a thief comes for the car,
looks at the roof,
looks at the car,
looks at the roof again —
and starts looking for a crane. 😄
True, there is one small downside.
Now, just to go to the store, the family will again need heavy equipment.
But at least the question “where did you park?” has finally received the most precise answer:
— Upstairs.
