❓QUESTION:
Dear lee, please tell me how best to explain to my daughter — she is 7 years old — so that she doesn't worry about not having a dad. I tell her that whether he is there or not doesn't affect whether she will be happy or not, that she creates happiness and joy herself. But she still watches when someone at school is picked up by their dad and sometimes gets upset about it. How else can I explain to her that mom, dad, me — a happy family — are all just templates?
❗️lee's ANSWER:
The templates are in the fact that it is specifically a dad picking up someone else's daughter. Perhaps he isn't even her dad, and there's a whole drama of their own going on about "you're not where you should be, and he's not who you think…" 😊
That is, the external factor of family does not give an answer about the Love inside the family.
And you shouldn't emphasize for the child whether these are templates or "rules of life" in general. Better to put the emphasis on Love. If you have enough of it, then there is nothing else to create or explain.
Your Love will create a dad for your child too, if this is truly the Path of Love. And therefore the label "template" is superfluous here. If, however, a third character is not needed on this Path, then he has nothing to do here — again, not because of templates, but because such is your mutual choice of Love.
Other reasons and explanations here are simply redundant.
How can I explain to my daughter that she is no less happy without a dad?
