In Florida, they came up with a wedding expo after which an ordinary banquet hall starts to seem suspiciously boring.
On 13 September at Brevard Zoo an expo was held, Wildly in Love, where future newlyweds were shown ceremony venues right inside the zoo.
And yes β the organizers were perfectly serious in proposing a wedding where beside you are giraffes, lions and other animals.
That is, the classic ceremony:
β Do you promise to love each other in sorrow and in joy?
β Yes.
β Is there anyone who objects to this marriage?
A lion in the distance: RRRRRRRR.
And that's when the awkward pause begins.
Because no one understands:
is that an objection,
applause,
or does the lion simply want champagne too.
At the expo, you could look at various wedding locations, meet photographers, florists and planners, try appetizers, and even see staged versions of the ceremony and the cocktail hour.
And the idea isn't limited to just one pretty view.
You can literally arrange the celebration so that giraffes are nearby during the ceremony, and guests sip cocktails surrounded by nature and animals.
As a result, the wedding photographer gets the job of their dreams:
β Groom, a little closer to the bride.
β Bride, chin up.
β Giraffeβ¦ perfect, don't change a thing.
What's especially wonderful is that the organizers promised to raffle off among the guests $2000 toward a wedding package at the zoo plus a discount on catering.
So now the wedding industry has officially reached the stage where the question:
βAnd who will be the witness?β
can get the answer:
βOn my side β a friend. On his β a giraffe.β
And, honestly, that's still a good option.
Because at least a giraffe won't be telling everyone at the reception what the groom was like at university. π
