Today, 27 October 2026, Israel is holding elections to the 26th Knesset. More than 7,3 million citizens over the age of 18 have the right to cast their vote for 120 members of parliament.

Polling stations in most localities are open from 7:00 to 22:00 local time. In small towns and villages — from 8:00 to 20:00. Voting is also organised in hospitals, prisons and military units.

36 electoral lists are competing for seats in parliament. The electoral threshold is 3,25 % of the vote. According to the latest polls, no bloc is winning the 61 seats needed to form a government.

The main rivals are incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of the Likud party and former Chief of the General Staff Gadi Eisenkot, who heads the centrist Yeshar party. Polls show a slight advantage for Yeshar — around 22–23 seats against 20–21 for Likud.

These are the first parliamentary elections since the Hamas attack of 7 October 2023 and the wars that followed. At the same time, this is the first time in almost 40 years that the Knesset has served a full four-year term without being dissolved early.

The Central Elections Committee plans to publish the final results by noon on 29 October. Meanwhile, Israelis are deciding whom to entrust with forming the next government.

What matters more for the country today — security or domestic reforms? The voters themselves will give the answer.
