iOS 27.3 and watchOS 27.3 developer versions, released on 3 November 2026, activate the Audio Intelligence feature set on Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4. The main novelties are Live Rewind and Siri Recap, which allow "rewinding" and summarizing conversations using the watch's microphone.

Live Rewind works by double-pressing the Digital Crown: the watch displays the text of the last 15 seconds of a conversation. The user can ask Siri questions about the text or save a fragment in the Siri app. 30 seconds after the screen dims, the text automatically disappears. The feature is accompanied by a sound signal and a microphone indicator.

Siri Recap generates brief summaries of conversations over the day: a headline and key points with dates, deadlines, prices and other facts. The summaries appear in the Siri app and can be saved to Notes or Journal. Unneeded entries are deleted after seven days. The feature can be enabled on a schedule, for example only during working hours.

Both tools work only on Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 paired with iPhone 16 and newer (except iPhone 16e). Processing is done on-device using the S11 chip and Secure Exclave, without storing the original audio or identifying speakers. Additionally, recognition of important sounds and automatic music detection via Shazam are available.

The features are currently available only in English and require explicit user consent. A public beta is expected in mid-December. The manufacturer has not disclosed exact timelines for availability in other languages and regions.

Compared with previous versions of watchOS, iOS 27.3 for the first time gives Apple Watch a tool for preserving the context of conversations without manual notes. For users of Series 12 and Ultra 4 who care about not missing details of meetings or instructions, the update provides a concrete practical tool. For owners of older models, no changes in this area are provided.
