Xiaomi has released a budget fitness tracker with NFC and battery life of up to 21 days

Xiaomi began selling the Smart Band 11 fitness band in Europe on 26 October 2026, starting with Spain. The standard version costs 59,99 euros, and the NFC variant costs 79,99 euros. Compared with its predecessor, this is a noticeable price increase: the base model has become roughly 20 % more expensive, and the NFC version roughly 60 % more expensive, since the Smart Band 10 cost 49,99 euros in the eurozone.

The journey to European store shelves took about seven weeks. The band was first shown in China on 3 September, at the end of the same month it appeared on Xiaomi's global website, and in mid-October it went on sale outside China. Europe turned out to be among the last markets.

The screen has stayed the same size — a 1,72-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 212 × 520 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Peak brightness is claimed at up to 2000 nits, but in high brightness mode (HBM) the display delivers 1500 nits, while 2000 nits are sustained only in certain scenarios. The Smart Band 10 had the same HBM brightness of 1500 nits, so the gain is mainly noticeable in direct sunlight.

The body has become thinner: 9,99 mm versus 10,95 mm for the Smart Band 10, that is, by roughly 9 %. The weight without the strap is 15,58 g. This is an evolution, not a revolution, yet when worn at night the difference feels stronger than the numbers suggest. The battery with a capacity of 233 mAh is claimed to last up to 21 days, but that figure refers to light usage mode. Under typical load the manufacturer promises 10 days, and with always-on display (AOD) — 6 days. Charging is magnetic and takes about an hour.

The main changes concern the sensors and sleep analytics. Xiaomi has updated the optical heart rate sensor, and sleep is now analyzed taking HRV — heart rate variability — into account, with recommendations built on measurement history and everyday habits. The band tracks heart rate, SpO2 level, stress, sleep and women's health. Heart rate can be broadcast via Bluetooth to bike computers and third-party apps, and a new mode measures it underwater, which helps count swimming more accurately. At the same time, Xiaomi emphasizes that the readings are for reference only and do not replace a medical device. More than 150 sports modes are claimed.

Water protection corresponds to 5 ATM: the manufacturer tested the device at pressure equivalent to a static immersion to 50 meters for 10 minutes, and recommends it for the pool and shallow water. Such a band is not intended for diving and deep-water activities.

The NFC version allows contactless payment from the band, but Xiaomi has not disclosed which payment scenarios are supported in Europe specifically. The band works with Android and iOS via the Mi Fitness app. There is no built-in GPS: the route is recorded using the smartphone's GPS.

In Europe, the colors Midnight Black, Glacier Silver and Mystic Rose are available. The ceramic version, which Xiaomi mentions on the Spanish product page, has not yet gone on sale.

The bottom line is this: the Smart Band 11 will suit those who need an inexpensive band for everyday wear with long battery life and a basic set of health features. The NFC version for 79,99 euros makes sense only if you really need payment from your wrist.
