In the second semifinal, Alexander Zverev overpowered the tournament's breakout star, British wild card Arthur Fery. The German won in straight sets, 7-6 (7-0), 6-2, 6-4. Despite the loss, Fery enjoyed the best run of his career and emerged as one of the standout stories of this year’s Wimbledon.
