In a world where startups spend years chasing millions of dollars from venture funds, four 28-year-old Israelis did things differently: they built a product, sold it, and earned millions of shekels without giving away a single share of the company to outsiders.
The company is Vizby — an AI platform that helps Shopify merchants boost the visibility of their products in chatbots like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. The founders, Eilon Tzafania, Yoni Cohen, Aviv Yovel and Michal Elyasaf, launched the company less than a year ago, worked for just a couple of months, and with no outside funding at all closed a deal with Britain's Swap Commerce.
The key to success turned out to be not capital but focus. Instead of spending time on pitches to investors and roadshows, the four friends from combat units and former Wix employees concentrated on solving a real pain point for online stores: how to stay visible when customers increasingly ask artificial intelligence rather than googling. They created a tool that generates an action plan, implements changes directly in Shopify, and measures the revenue growth from AI traffic.
This model upends the usual logic of the startup economy. Normally founders dilute the company with shares to get money for growth and then sell a smaller stake. Here, the entire proceeds of the deal stayed with the four people. In an era when AI tools allow a small team to do what previously required dozens of specialists, capital ceases to be the main constraint.
Notably, the founders themselves emphasize that artificial intelligence is changing not only products but the very process of building companies. What once took years and required large teams can now be done quickly and cheaply. Vizby has become an illustration of this shift — an exit within a matter of months without a single shekel from funds.
For those thinking about their own business, the Vizby story sounds like a reminder: sometimes the most expensive resource is not money but time and control. While others look for investors, you can simply make a product that solves a problem and reach the market before anyone else.
Four young entrepreneurs have shown that in the new reality of AI, speed and a focus on value can bring more than the traditional path through venture rounds.
