Romanian firefighters went to Greece for work and returned with a new colleague.
True, the colleague turned out to be ginger, mustachioed, and completely unfamiliar with safety procedures.
During one of the patrols, a cat approached the rescuers. Without an invitation, without a resume, and apparently without the slightest intention of leaving.
The firefighters gave it water and food.
The cat understood everything correctly.
A job was found.
The new employee was named Garfield, and very quickly he became the unofficial mascot of the team.
Garfield's duties are still rather vague: to be around, to keep an eye on things, to accept food, and periodically to look as if he is the one in charge of the entire operation.
There are also problems with the uniform so far.
No helmet.
No radio.
Fire training — zero.
But discipline is excellent: he comes to duty on his own and practically never leaves his workplace.
So, the interview probably went something like this:
— Do you have any work experience?
— Meow.
— Do you keep your cool in extreme situations?
— Meow.
— When can you start?
The cat had already eaten from the bowl.
Hired.
Now the Romanian firefighters in Greece have their own Garfield — a specialist in moral support, lunch monitoring, and creating a good mood.
Sometimes the best employee is indeed found not through an ad.
He just shows up on his own one day. 😄
