So the answer to your question about two men is no, they cannot be God in the very essence of this concept.
But the answer to the second part of the question is yes.
It is also extremely logical and does not require stretching esoteric phenomena.
The point is that Consciousness is initially One. And your question about 'our consciousnesses' is its 'component parts'. Like a puzzle. It is one picture in itself, but it consists of many segments, each of which is holographically connected to the whole picture, but as long as it distinguishes itself as an 'individual part', it is precisely that.
In other words, you are part of a Larger Picture, but as long as you consider yourself part of it, you use the consciousness of a part, not of the whole picture. If you can reach Wholeness for a moment, you will change not yourself, but your consciousness to Consciousness. One could say that in this case, the consciousness of the individual will give way to the Consciousness of God. In that moment, you will experience ecstasy, and the world will be perceived completely differently.
The human body cannot sustain such states for more than a moment, because physiology itself is linked to more 'earthly frequencies'. It's like a car isn't fueled with rocket fuel – the logic of movement for a car and a rocket is different.
