Was it truly necessary for whistleblowers and others to conduct their research and public outreach—facing immense pressure and risk from the public and other sectors—to bring these revelations to light? Or is this all part of a "calculated game" where we could have simply sat back, meditated, and let it happen without any friction?

Well, technically everyone could just sit quietly and meditate until "life sorts itself out." Archaeologists, scientists, ecologists, doctors, and journalists alike could simply wait for the systems of deception and manipulation to eventually run their course.
However, how would society ever be prepared to accept something radically different from what has been broadcast to it for centuries? Someone must initiate the inquiry and capture the public’s attention to trigger a paradigm shift. It is ultimately the collective demand and focus that manifest change for that very collective.
This is the exact mechanism that has historically been used—and continues to be used through propaganda—to systematically plant manipulative ideas by seeding one thought, then another, before announcing a major event. In every instance, key actors are required, whether they are individual "witnesses" or "whistleblowers."
The essence of this game lies in embedding a specific concept of "truth" into the collective consciousness. Whatever truth is successfully instilled is what society will ultimately perceive. Just twenty years ago, the prevailing "truth" was that anyone speaking seriously about aliens was considered insane. Yet now, everything has changed. It turns out many people have long inhabited a world where extraterrestrials are a commonplace reality. In a sense, we have finally entered their actual reality, which has always existed within our own world. Had these individuals not existed, we would have had no destination to arrive at.
