The Mexican footballer Javier Hernández, known as Chicharito, decided to personally verify the popular story about the incredible cleanliness of Japanese streets.
He chose the simplest possible research method.
He took off his shoes, stayed in white socks and went for a walk on the asphalt.
He walked along the street, stepped around a manhole cover, went up and down from the sidewalk several times — in short, he gave the socks a full urban workout.
And then he sat down and showed the soles.
And they remained almost white.
Chicharito himself preemptively shielded the experiment from scientific criticism by writing something along these lines:
"I do not accept criticism of my research methods." 😄
In short, the question of the cleanliness of Japanese streets can be considered settled.
Methodology:
white socks — 1 pair,
street — 1 item,
control group — absent,
result — impressive.
All that's left is to send the socks to the lab and get published in Nature.
