Hirving Lozano may move to LA Galaxy

Mexican footballer Hirving "Chucky" Lozano is close to a loan move to LA Galaxy from San Diego FC.

Lozano is currently not playing for San Diego and is training apart from the main squad. The club's management stated back in the winter that they no longer count on him.

For the 31-year-old winger, a move to Los Angeles could be a good chance to start fresh. LA Galaxy recently sold Gabriel Pec and is now looking for a new strong player for the attacking flank.

Lozano is known for his speed, sharp bursts of pace, and ability to create dangerous moments. Last season, he scored nine goals and provided ten assists in the regular season.

However, the deal will be complicated. Lozano earns a very high salary—about 9,33 million dollars a year. Therefore, San Diego will likely continue to pay a portion of this amount, even if the footballer leaves on loan.

If the transfer goes through, Galaxy will expect leadership and consistent play from him. He will also have to quickly regain match fitness after a long absence from the pitch.

For all parties, such a deal looks logical. San Diego will be able to reduce expenses, Galaxy will get an experienced attacking player, and Lozano will get a chance to return to top-level football.

The main question now is whether "Chucky" will be able to seize this chance and show his best level again.

What awaits Lozano in Los Angeles if the loan goes through?
