Apple has published the European energy label for the iPhone Duo, confirming the total battery capacity at 4883 mAh. The device uses two cells — 2962 mAh and 1921 mAh — which matches earlier leaks. Since the model ships only in an eSIM version without a physical SIM tray, this capacity applies to all markets.
Compared with other models in the lineup, the iPhone Duo occupies an intermediate position. Its capacity exceeds that of the iPhone 18 Pro (4288 mAh) but falls short of the iPhone 18 Pro Max (5567 mAh). The manufacturer claims up to 44 hours of video playback on the external screen and up to 31 hours on the internal one. The overall endurance rating is 51,5 hours per cycle, and the battery retains its characteristics for at least 1000 charging cycles.
The iPhone Duo is Apple's first foldable model, with an internal 7,6-inch display and an external 5,4-inch display. The two-cell design allows the battery to fit into a thin body measuring 5,2 mm when unfolded. With frequent use of the large internal screen, battery life is reduced, which is typical of foldable devices.
Compared with competitors, the capacity is close to that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 (around 4800 mAh), but Apple traditionally optimizes power consumption through tight integration of hardware and iOS. There are no direct independent tests yet, but the stated figures look competitive for a foldable form factor.
The model is available for pre-order from 16 October 2026 at a price starting from 1999 dollars, with sales beginning on 23 October. The 4883 mAh capacity is one of the key confirmed parameters influencing the choice between a foldable iPhone and traditional Pro Max flagships.
