CMF, the budget sub-brand of Nothing, on 12 October 2026 unveiled its first portable Bluetooth speakers — Speaker S and Speaker M. The devices are shaped like milk cartons with replaceable front panels and control handles, up to 18 hours of battery life and IP68 protection.
The speakers are available in four colours: white, dark grey, orange and turquoise. The front panel and multi-function handle are removable, and the company plans to publish STL files for 3D-printing custom elements yourself. The Speaker S weighs 334 g and is equipped with a 45 mm full-range driver with two passive radiators (10 W RMS, 70 Hz — 20 kHz). The Speaker M is larger (602 g) and is equipped with a 25-watt woofer and a 10-watt tweeter (35 W RMS, 60 Hz — 20 kHz).
Both models support Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, stereo pairing mode and Auracast Party Mode for connecting multiple speakers. The Nothing X app offers equaliser presets and custom sound tuning. USB-C charging: the Speaker S charges fully in 2,5 hours, the Speaker M in 3 hours; 10 minutes give an hour of playback.
Prices start at 59 dollars for the Speaker S and 109 dollars for the Speaker M. Sales have begun on the Nothing website and at partners. In India only the M model has been announced; exact timing and prices for other regions are still being confirmed.
Compared with typical portable speakers in the same price segment, the CMF models stand out for their unusual design and customisation options, but they do not publish independent sound tests or exact battery capacities. The Speaker S is suitable for carrying around and outdoor use, while the Speaker M is for the home with richer sound.
The choice between the S and the M depends on whether portability or sound power is the priority, given the same battery life and protection.
