Amazon unveils Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse — AI devices that listen to conversations and suggest actions

Edited by: Svitlana Velhush

On 15 October 2026, Amazon unveiled two new devices in the Bee line: the wearable Bee Frontier gadget for $74,99 and the magnetic Bee Eclipse attachment for $99,99. Both devices continuously record conversations, transcribe them, and turn them into summaries, insights, and to-do lists in the Bee app.

Bee Frontier is an updated version of the previous model. It can be worn on the wrist like a fitness band or clipped to clothing. The device is equipped with two noise-cancelling microphones, a recording indicator, IP67 protection, and USB-C charging. The claimed battery life is up to seven days. It is available in Onyx, Lavender, and Sage. The gadget is already on sale on Amazon.com.

Bee Eclipse is a new form factor: a flat, credit-card-sized card that is 4,6 mm thick and weighs 48,9 g. It attaches magnetically to the back of a smartphone and is intended for professional use. The device uses four MEMS microphones and a vibration microphone to capture both sides of phone calls and in-person conversations. The claimed battery life is more than 21 days. Colors: Silver, Midnight, Honey, and Blush. Sales will begin later.

Both gadgets run on the same platform. In the free version, the user gets conversation summaries, transcripts, and memory for 14 days. The Bee Pro subscription for $11,99 per month or $99 per year unlocks unlimited summaries, integrations with Gmail, Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple HealthKit, and Photos, as well as Amazon shopping suggestions based on what is mentioned in conversations and voice summaries via Alexa+. Data is encrypted, audio is processed in real time and deleted immediately; the user can delete transcripts at any time.

Compared with its predecessor, the Bee Pioneer at $50, the Frontier has become lighter, has a more prominent recording button, and comes in three new colors, while retaining seven-day battery life. The Eclipse offers an alternative that is not worn on the body and provides significantly longer battery life. There are no direct comparisons with competitors like Plaud in reviews yet, but both devices are positioned as more integrated with the Amazon ecosystem.

When choosing between the Frontier and the Eclipse, it is worth focusing on the preferred form factor: the wearable option is more convenient for constant presence, while the magnetic attachment is for those who communicate by phone more often.
