🎭 Famous chef tired of the kitchen and went off to sing at the opera!-1

16 October — performance; 20 October — publication. New York, USA.

The famous French chef Daniel Boulud unexpectedly appeared on the stage of the renowned Metropolitan Opera.

And not as a spectator, either.

The culinary celebrity performed a small role in Puccini's production of "La Bohème."

Boulud played the owner of the Parisian café Momus.

For this he didn't even have to go far: his new restaurant Brasserie Boulud is located literally across the road from Lincoln Center.

So it turns out you can run the kitchen in the morning, step out in the evening onto one of the world's most prestigious opera stages, and then head off again to check the menu.

It's a good thing the chef got the role of a café owner. Imagine if he'd had to play a diner unhappy with his supper? The performance could have ended in a real restaurant inspection! 😁
