I have seen many projects where noble intentions were used to conceal financial pyramid schemes. When it comes to such schemes today, they are often built not on greed but on "sophisticated offers" that promote "doing good for the world." This beautiful packaging often masks the participants' true motives—even from themselves—with the premise: "I'll do some good, and at the same time, I'll make money and improve my karma."
However, it is possible your project just shares a similar name with what these "well-meaning" people are doing...
Ultimately, you should look honestly at your own motives in any project; that way, you will not be disappointed with the results.
