隨著美國制裁壓力不斷加劇，Meliá、Iberostar 與 Blue Diamond 等大型連鎖酒店集團正逐步縮減其在古巴的業務版圖。根據 BBC Mundo 與 Euronews 的報導，Meliá 已宣布停止管理島上的 15 家酒店，Iberostar 結束了 12 處物業的合作，而 Blue Diamond 先前也已表示將退出古巴酒店的管理業務。
這些企業的決定並非出於單一的大規模撤離，而是為了重新調整營運模式，並試圖降低因美國新限制措施所衍生的法律與財務風險。華盛頓當局於 2026 年 5 月對古巴企業集團 GAESA 實施了新一輪制裁，美方認定該集團是古巴經濟以及觀光產業結構中的核心參與者。
由於觀光業仍是古巴最重要的支柱產業之一，國際營運商縮減業務規模，可能會為該國的酒店市場帶來額外挑戰。不過，與其將此視為產業的瞬間崩潰，更精確的說法應是在外部壓力與內部經濟問題的夾擊下，合作夥伴關係與管理模式正經歷一場漸進式的轉型。
