NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory, Hubble Space Telescope, and ALMA captured a composite image of 30 Doradus, the Tarantula Nebula, 160,000 light-years away in the Large Magellanic Cloud. The image reveals thousands of young stars, energetic winds, and supernova remnants. Astronomers note 30 Doradus contains material for star formation for 25 million years. Chandra detected 3,615 X-ray sources, including massive stars and double-star systems. The findings, published in The Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series, will serve as a reference for studying X-ray emissions in star-forming regions.
