Verizon and NVIDIA have announced a groundbreaking solution that enables AI applications to run on Verizon's private 5G network and Mobile Edge Compute (MEC). This innovative combination offers enterprise clients real-time, on-premises AI services, set to debut in early 2025.

As Srini Kalapala, Senior Vice President of Technology and Product Development at Verizon, notes, generative AI is crucial for digital transformation across industries. The integration of Verizon's low-latency private 5G, private MEC, and NVIDIA's AI-Enterprise software platform provides the security, ultra-low latency, and high bandwidth necessary for scalable AI applications.

Ronnie Vasishta, Senior Vice President of Telecom at NVIDIA, emphasizes that this collaboration allows businesses to harness AI effectively, enhancing operational efficiency and value creation.

The new AI-driven private 5G platform is designed for plug-and-play functionality, facilitating third-party developers and future AI computing iterations. It supports various applications, including Generative AI and IoT, while ensuring enhanced security and scalability for diverse use cases.
