Sereact Secures €25 Million for Advanced AI Robotics

Stuttgart, Germany-based Sereact has secured €25 million to enhance its embodied AI software, enabling robots to perform tasks they were not specifically trained for.

CEO and co-founder Ralf Gulde stated, "With our technology, robots act situationally rather than following rigidly programmed sequences. They adapt to dynamic tasks in real-time, enabling an unprecedented level of autonomy."

The Series A funding round was led by early Spotify and Klarna investor Creandum, with participation from existing investors Point Nine and Air Street Capital, along with notable angel investors, including former Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg.

Sereact's technology allows robots to analyze and learn new jobs on-the-go through a machine learning technique called zero-shot visual reasoning. This enables robots to understand and interpret images without prior training on those specific types.

The model, known as PickGPT, enhances the intelligence of robots, eliminating the need for pre-programming for each task, thereby saving time for businesses.

Gulde emphasized the limitless possibilities of this innovation, particularly in Europe. Sereact's technology is already being utilized by companies like BMW and Daimler Truck, and the startup aims to expand beyond warehouses.

With the new funding, Sereact plans to develop new robotic hardware platforms, including mobile robots and humanoids, while also increasing its presence in the U.S.

Gulde concluded, "We're on an exciting journey to become the leading platform for robotics applications that forever change the daily lives of people and businesses."
