NTT DATA, a global leader in digital and IT services, has announced its intention to acquire Niveus Solutions, a specialist in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This acquisition is expected to elevate NTT DATA's status as a top global partner for Google Cloud, enhancing its capabilities in cloud modernization and artificial intelligence across various industries.
The transaction, pending standard conditions, is projected to conclude within 30 to 60 days. Niveus Solutions will contribute 1,000 GCP experts to NTT DATA, bolstering its capacity to deliver tailored solutions in sectors such as finance, manufacturing, retail, and logistics.
Charlie Li, head of cloud and security services at NTT DATA, stated, 'The acquisition of Niveus Solutions will firmly position us as a leading Google Cloud powerhouse, propelling NTT DATA as one of the world's largest system integrator partners for Google Cloud.' He emphasized the potential to redefine possibilities in the AI-driven cloud era, enabling clients to accelerate digital transformations.
According to forecasts, global end-user spending on public cloud services is expected to reach $679 billion in 2024 and surpass $1 trillion by 2027. Niveus Solutions has been recognized as Google Cloud's 'Breakthrough Partner of the Year - Asia Pacific' for 2024.
Previously, NTT DATA and IBM introduced SimpliZCloud, a hybrid cloud service aimed at supporting critical financial applications in India. Earlier this year, NTT DATA also launched an ultralight edge AI platform to unify IoT devices and streamline data management processes.
