Iran and Serbia Strengthen Bilateral Ties Through Political and Economic Consultations

In Belgrade, on February 15, 2024, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, engaged in discussions with Serbian State Secretary Damjan Jovic, marking a significant moment for political consultations between the two nations. During these consultations, both deputy foreign ministers delved into a wide array of subjects concerning bilateral relations, encompassing political, economic, cultural, informational, and consular dimensions. They also exchanged perspectives on salient regional and international developments. Both Iran and Serbia underscored the importance of bolstering cooperation across various sectors, with a particular emphasis on expanding collaboration in trade and economic domains. They further recognized the need for sustained collaboration between their respective foreign ministries, alongside fostering academic diplomacy between the two countries. Takht-Ravanchi's itinerary also included meetings with Tanja Jovic, Foreign Policy Advisor to the President, and Aleksandar Vulin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, highlighting the comprehensive nature of Iran's diplomatic engagement with Serbia.
