Changsha, China - China announced new initiatives to deepen its cooperation with Africa during the Ministerial Meeting of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) held in Hunan province.
President Xi Jinping conveyed the message in a congratulatory letter, emphasizing the facilitation of exports from less developed African countries to China. The meeting also focused on advancing the "Ten Partnership Plans" between the two parties.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi presented five initiatives to boost high-quality cooperation with Africa. These include maintaining solidarity of the Global South, promoting free international trade, and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation.
The Changsha Declaration on the unity and cooperation of the Global South was issued. The fourth China-Africa Trade Fair will also take place in Changsha, further strengthening bilateral economic ties.
