Kyiv Region Reels from Russia's Record Drone Attack: Casualties and Damage Reported

Kyiv region faced a massive Russian drone attack on May 18, 2025, marking one of the largest barrages since the start of the full-scale invasion. Ukrainian sources reported casualties and injuries in the aftermath.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force Command, Russia launched 273 strike drones, with 88 being intercepted. However, 128 drones went astray due to location jamming. The attack resulted in the death of a 28-year-old woman in the Obukhiv district, with three others injured, including a 4-year-old child.

Damage assessments revealed a destroyed residential building, shattered windows in apartment buildings, and damage to municipal enterprises, educational institutions, and private homes. The international community continues to monitor the situation as diplomatic efforts intensify.
