Russia's Drone Attacks on Kharkiv and Dnipro Injure Dozens, Kill One in April 2025

Russian forces have intensified attacks on Ukraine, primarily targeting Kharkiv and Dnipro. Ukrainian officials reported that these attacks occurred on April 29, 2025, resulting in casualties and significant damage to civilian infrastructure.

In Kharkiv, at least 45 people were injured, including two children, according to regional governor Oleh Syniehubov. The strikes damaged residential areas, apartment buildings, hospitals, and a school, impacting 13 locations across the city. Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported 16 strikes on Kharkiv, hitting high-rise apartment blocks, private homes, a medical facility, and civilian infrastructure.

In Dnipro, one person was killed and another injured in an attack on civilian infrastructure, as reported by Dnipropetrovsk region Governor Serhiy Lysak. The governor noted that residential neighborhoods suffered the worst destruction, with fires breaking out and one home destroyed. Ukraine's Air Force reported shooting down 50 Russian drones overnight across the country, while Russia launched a total of 108 drones.
