Deadly Drone Attack in Odesa: Russian Strikes Kill Two, Injure Fifteen on May 1, 2025

Odesa, Ukraine, faced a devastating Russian drone attack on Thursday, May 1, 2025, resulting in at least two fatalities and fifteen injuries, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The strikes inflicted significant damage on residential areas and civilian infrastructure.

The assault damaged residential buildings, private properties, a supermarket, and a school. Fires erupted across the affected areas, prompting emergency services to respond swiftly. Firefighters, aided by volunteers and the National Guard, worked to extinguish the blazes.

More than 200 residents were evacuated from a high-rise building. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service and the National Police are providing support to those affected. City officials are assisting residents with documentation and support through district operational headquarters.
