On September 7, 2026, Climate Week 4 kicked off in Baku — the key event of the year for turning climate commitments into concrete actions. It continues the work begun in April in Yeosu, Republic of Korea, where Climate Week 3 took place.
Nearly 1500 participants gathered in Yeosu: governments, businesses, cities, indigenous peoples, and civil society. The main question is no longer "what to do," but "how." Participants discussed how to turn national plans into investment-attractive projects that benefit people and scale up in the real economy.
The lessons from Yeosu directly influence the Baku program. Financing models from Brazil and Cambodia will serve as the basis for climate finance laboratories in agriculture and food systems. The platform, which brought together ministries, development banks, and private investors, has already attracted about 5 billion dollars for 18 projects.
In Baku, from September 9 to 10, the Implementation Forum will take place. It will bring together stakeholders to discuss practical steps for implementing commitments. The themes from Yeosu — from creating investment pipelines to locally driven adaptation — will continue here.
