According to leaks, Samsung is preparing for 2027 five new models in the Galaxy Z lineup at once. Among them are the successors to the Fold 9, Flip 9 and TriFold 2, as well as an additional wide foldable device and a completely new Galaxy Z Slide with a sliding screen mechanism.
Previously, the company limited itself to two or three foldable devices per year. Now, judging by ET News reports and messages from the insider TheGalox, the portfolio is expanding to five or six positions. This will allow offering buyers more form-factor options: the classic book-style Fold, the clamshell Flip, the three-panel TriFold and the new sliding Slide.
The Galaxy Z Slide stands out among the rest. Instead of folding, the screen will slide out of the body, increasing the diagonal. Samsung Display has already shown similar prototypes at MWC, where the display expanded from 5,1 to 6,7 inches. There are no specific dimensions or specifications for the commercial version yet — for now it is only a name and a concept.
The other models, according to rumors, will receive improvements in battery life, thickness and weight. The TriFold 2 should become thinner and lighter than its predecessor, while the wide Fold models should be more convenient for watching video. Exact specifications of processors, cameras or batteries have not been disclosed at this time.
All information is based on leaks and has not yet been confirmed by Samsung. Plans may change, and timelines and prices remain unknown. Buyers should wait for official announcements closer to the middle of 2027.
