At the Korea Electronics Show (KES 2026), which opened on 13 October in Seoul, Samsung Electronics set up an area of 869 sq. m, where it presented home appliances with artificial intelligence functions and new mobile devices.
The main novelties in the home appliance segment were the Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator and the Bespoke AI Combo washer-dryer. The refrigerator is equipped with an internal AI Food Manager camera that recognizes food items and monitors their condition. The washing machine automatically determines the type and condition of the laundry, after which it selects the wash intensity and drying temperature.
In the mobile zone, the Galaxy Z Fold8 series attracted attention. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra model received the thinnest design in Samsung's line of foldable smartphones and weighs 201 g. Also shown were the Galaxy Watch Ultra2, Galaxy Watch9, the Galaxy Tab S12 tablet and the Galaxy Buds On wireless earbuds, which attach to the ear without blocking out external sounds.
The company placed greater emphasis on the Samsung AI Subscription service. The service includes delivery, installation and maintenance of appliances, as well as coverage for smartphone damage. Visitors could receive personal consultations about the subscription right at the stand.
Unlike their predecessors, the new models focus attention on everyday use of AI without complex settings. Specific prices and global sales dates had not been announced as of the time of the exhibition. No competitive comparisons with devices from LG or other manufacturers were made at the stand.
Visitors to KES 2026 can personally test the food recognition in the refrigerator and the automatic wash settings, as well as evaluate the convenience of the thin foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.
