On 15 October 2026, My Play Watch unveiled the Street Fighter II: My Play Watch model — an officially licensed Capcom device featuring a playable version of Street Fighter II adapted for the watch's touchscreen.
The watch costs 79,99 US dollars, preorders are already open on GameStop and the manufacturer's website, and shipments will begin in December 2026. Included are two interchangeable silicone straps, a magnetic charging cable, and a stand bearing the game's logo.
The case features metal elements and accents of 14-karat gold, and the crown is styled after a star with the Roman numeral II. The screen is a color touchscreen measuring about two inches, as on previous models in the series. The watch tells time, counts steps, and measures pulse and active calories, with all functions deeply integrated into the Street Fighter II theme: splash screens, sounds, and an interface in the style of the 1991 arcade game.
The main novelty is the built-in game. The player selects one of eight original fighters (Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Blanka, and others) and battles a series of opponents, including the bosses Balrog, Sagat, Vega, and M. Bison. Fights take place on familiar arenas such as Battle Harbor and the roof of Suzaku Castle. The controls are optimized for the small touchscreen: attacks, counterattacks, and timing decide the outcome. The developers emphasize that the gameplay was created specifically for short sessions on the wrist.
The device is fully self-contained: there is no Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, notifications, or smartphone app. This is a deliberate choice — a focus on the game and basic functions without distractions. Unlike ordinary smartwatches, there is no phone integration here, but there are two themed straps and a stand for collectors.
Compared with previous My Play Watch models (Space Invaders, Tetris, Mega Man 2), the new version adds a full-fledged fighting game with character selection and progression through arenas. The price remains at the level of 80 dollars, as with its predecessors. Competitors such as Casio or other retro watches do not offer a playable version of Street Fighter II on the wrist.
For fans of the series and collectors of retro games, this is a compact way to carry an arcade with you if you don't need notifications and a smartphone connection.
