Huawei has brought to market a new colour version of its Watch Fit 5 Pro smartwatch in the vivid Crimson Orange shade. Its main distinguishing feature is a strap made of wear-resistant fluoroelastomer that resists ultraviolet light, moisture and high temperatures.
The watch features a 1,92-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 × 408 pixels, a peak brightness of 3000 nits and a protective 2.5D sapphire crystal. The titanium bezel is paired with an aluminium middle frame, while the case is 9,5 mm thick and weighs about 30,4 g without the strap. It supports dual-frequency GPS, 5 ATM water resistance and health monitoring with ECG, arterial stiffness analysis and SpO2 levels.
A battery with a capacity of 471 mAh provides up to 10 days of operation in light mode, 7 days with typical use and 4 days with always-on display enabled. Wireless charging and an NFC module for contactless payments are available. The watch runs HarmonyOS and is compatible with Android and iOS.
In China, the Crimson Orange version costs 2099 yuan, which roughly corresponds to 310 US dollars. This update primarily concerns the design and strap materials rather than the hardware platform.
Compared with its predecessor, the display has become larger, and the titanium bezel adds a premium feel. Among competitors such as Garmin or Samsung Galaxy Watch, Huawei stands out for screen brightness and battery life, but lags behind in the number of third-party apps.
The new version will suit those looking for a vivid sports accessory with reliable health monitoring and long battery life at a price of around 310 dollars on the Chinese market.
