Hyundai will begin producing electric vehicles at its Izmit, Turkey factory by 2026. The production facility's name has been changed to Hyundai Motor Türkiye. This move aims to increase production capacity, support the local economy, and reinforces Hyundai's plan to offer only zero-emission vehicles in Europe by 2035. The Turkish factory, Hyundai's longest-running production site outside South Korea, currently produces the i10 and i20 models and sources over 55% of its parts locally.
