Volvo Buses Starts Production of Electric Bi-Articulated Bus Chassis in Brazil

Volvo Buses has begun producing its first electric bi-articulated bus chassis, the Volvo BZRT model, at its Curitiba, Brazil plant.

The plant can now export the chassis to BRT systems globally. The 28-meter bus can carry up to 250 passengers and has two 200kW motors (400kW total).

It accommodates up to eight battery packs (720 kWh total) with a charging time of 2-4 hours. The Volvo BZRT includes safety features like cameras, sensors, traffic sign detection, and Volvo Dynamic Steering (VDS).
