Edited by: Tetiana Pinchuk Pinchuk

General Motors is updating its Hummer EV line, enhancing both off-road capabilities and charging options.

The Hummer EV will now feature a King Crab mode, enabling the rear wheels to turn faster than the front for tighter turns on rough terrain. This feature will also be available to existing Hummer EV owners via a software update.

The Carbon Fiber Edition will be the fastest Hummer EV, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. The updated models will also include new exterior colors and interior designs.

New Hummer EVs will support bidirectional energy transfer, allowing them to charge other EVs or power homes during outages. The Super Cruise system now automatically changes lanes based on navigation routes.

Production of the 2026 model year Hummer EV is set to begin before the end of the current calendar year. Prices have not been announced but are expected to rise from the current base price of $99,045.
