New details have emerged regarding the year's most anticipated wedding. According to Portuguese media outlets, who obtained a copy of the marriage certificate, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez's civil ceremony took place on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 1:30 PM at the couple's residence in Cascais.
The celebration was attended by the couple's five children, as previously reported by the footballer's agency, along with four witnesses. These witnesses included Miguel Paixão, a friend of Ronaldo's from his time training at Sporting; Georgina's sister, Ivana Rodriguez; Spanish jeweler Jose Rodriguez Sanjil; and his wife, Monica Gonzalez Martinez. The marriage was officiated by registrar Maria Manuel Folhadela de Oliveira, who traveled specifically from Porto for the ceremony.
The prenuptial agreement garnered significant attention. The couple opted for a separate property regime, under which each individual retains ownership of assets held prior to the marriage, as well as those acquired afterward. Since this arrangement is not standard in Portugal, the couple signed the prenuptial contract at a notary office in Lisbon just before the wedding.
The documents further stipulated that neither Cristiano nor Georgina adopted each other's surnames. The couple's permanent residence is listed as Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo currently plays for a local club.
Notably, the marriage certificate makes no mention of the footballer's mother, Dolores Aveiro, or his sisters, Elma and Katia, which could suggest their absence from the ceremony.
The wedding was a private affair, held with a small circle of guests, without widespread publicity or lavish celebrations.
