Jessica Alba after Honest Company: three new businesses instead of one

Author: Tatyana Hurynovich

In 2024, Jessica Alba took a step that many talked about, but few expected so soon: she left the post of chief creative officer of The Honest Company — the brand she herself founded in 2011 and took public with a valuation of $1,45 billion. Alba remained on the board of directors, but freed up time for new projects.

Production company

Instead of managing one big business, Alba launched her own production company, Lady Metalmark Entertainment. There are already results: in 2025, she struck a deal with Netflix to create a comedy series about corporate culture. Alba is not only producing the project but will also star in the lead role. This is her way to control content, not just be the face of other people's brands.

Television and design

The show Honest Renovations on HGTV has already aired its fourth season in 2026. Here Alba combined two of her interests: eco-friendly living and architecture (she seriously studied design even before her acting career). In each episode, she helps families remodel their homes using non-toxic materials and functional solutions.

Partnerships

In May 2026, the healthy snack brand Luna Bar chose Alba as its first official ambassador. She had long been promoting these bars on social media without a contract, so the partnership seemed a logical step. This is not just sponsorship: Alba participates in developing new flavors and packaging.

Bottom line

In two years, Jessica Alba has transformed from CEO of one major brand into an independent entrepreneur with three directions: producing, television, and targeted partnerships in the wellness sphere. She is no longer tied to a single company and can choose projects that interest her.
