If the first “Fall” made you grip the sofa tighter, then the second part decided not to lower the anxiety level at all.
This time, the story moves away from the rusty TV tower and transports the characters to Thailand, where a dangerous mountain route turns into a new trap. Height, the abyss, rockfalls, the lack of a normal way back — everything that people love about such thrillers is here.
And most importantly — there is indeed a lot of adrenaline.
There are moments when your palms start to sweat just from looking down. The camera perfectly conveys the height, the space, and the feeling that one more wrong step — and that's it. Visually, the film works very well: the mountains are huge, the abysses look unpleasantly convincing, and the tension sometimes doesn't let up at all.
At the same time, the movie doesn't try to be a deep philosophical drama (there is very little of that, but it would have been better if there were none at all). It is primarily an extreme survival thriller: fear, the struggle with oneself, danger, and the constant feeling that things are about to get even worse.
And, of course, it does.
But then there's the ending...
To avoid spoilers, let's just say:
an acquired taste.

It was specifically the ending that noticeably spoiled the overall impression. And it's a shame, because up until then the film had confidently maintained the tension and could well have earned a rating from us a whole point higher.

Without such an ending, we would have easily given it 8.5/10.
This is an honest and balanced assessment for the flawless technical side, the excellent acting, and that very visceral fear of heights that is so hard to convey well on screen.
Recommendation: There is a lot of adrenaline, so we recommend it! If you're looking for a film to experience maximum drive, test your nerves, and get a powerful dose of suspense — “Fall 2” will be the perfect choice for watching. Just prepare yourself mentally for the fact that in the last 10 minutes you might want to argue with the director. 🎬🧗♀️
