World premiere of "The Runner" took place on September 2, 2026. The film was released in Europe on September 3, 2026.

"The Runner" is a case where the title honestly warns the viewer what they will be doing for the next hour and a half. Only Gal Gadot will be running, and you will be the one worrying.

The story quickly picks up pace and hardly lets you relax. Events change rapidly, tension rises, and the sense of danger holds almost until the very end.

And separately, it is worth noting how well the film's dynamics work. There is no feeling that the action is inserted just for the sake of action: the movement supports the plot, and Gadot truly carries much of the tension on her shoulders.

The film turned out to be a truly tense thriller. There is almost no time to relax: the city constantly moves around the heroine, streets, circumstances, and suspicions change, and the story itself gradually becomes much more tangled than it seems at the beginning.

And separately, it is worth noting Gal Gadot. Here she is very good.

Athletic Gal Gadot and the spectacular finale: 'The Runner' (2026)

Moreover, in this role, not only her dramatic side works, but also her physical fitness. Gadot indeed has to run a lot, and the film uses this to the fullest. She prepared for the role for a long time and trained specifically for the filming, so this entire endless chase looks convincing.

She is convincing both in dramatic scenes and in physically intense episodes. Athletic, composed, strong — this image suits her very well.

But the main gift the film saves for last.

The ending. Or even the denouement!

It deserves a separate point.

Because the denouement here is not just twisted. It's as if they took it, tied it in a knot, then tied that knot again, and then just in case—a third time.

And it is precisely the finale that significantly enhances the overall impression of the film. If not for it, our rating would be about a point lower.

But the ending does its job.

Gaya's final score is 8.7/10.

Tense, dynamic, Gal Gadot in great shape—and a finale that truly knows how to surprise. An ideal choice for an evening when you don't just want to "watch a movie," but to live through an hour and a half of pure, undiluted suspense with a brilliant, multi-layered denouement. 💫💝🏃‍♀️👟🍿
