A new species of orchid, Chiloschista tjiasmantoi, has been discovered in Aceh, Indonesia. Researchers from BRIN's Biosystematics and Bioevolution Research Center found the orchids growing on trees in semi-open plantations near forests. The orchid's small flowers and bark-like color make it difficult to spot, but its bright yellow blooms are a key identifier. The species is named in honor of environmental philanthropist Wewin Tjiasmanto for his support of flora conservation efforts in Indonesia, particularly in Aceh.
