Dubai businessman Satish Sanpal decided that a rattle was too modest a gift, and gave his daughter a bright pink Rolls-Roycefor her first birthday.
The car was made specially for little Bella: a pink-and-white interior, personalised trim and her initials on the seats. Everything has been thought through down to the smallest detail — except that the owner's feet still don't reach the pedals.

The birthday girl doesn't have a driver's licence either. On the other hand, she got a personal car before she learned to tie her shoelaces by herself, pronounce the word "Rolls-Royce" and explain to a traffic officer why she was driving without a child seat.
Now the main family problem is where to park the gift. The car doesn't fit in the nursery, it gets stuck in the sandbox, and leaving it next to the toy pram feels somehow worrying.
Other toddlers get a doll or a teddy bear for their first birthday. Bella got a car worth around half a million pounds. Probably the bear simply didn't match the colour scheme.
The girl's first words are not yet known. But after a gift like that, they could well be: "Driver, bring the car round!" 😄
