PT Angkasa Pura is in communication with international airlines to facilitate the transition. Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine officials are also preparing personnel and administrative support. The business and tourism sectors are preparing to accommodate an increase in international visitors.
The return of Ahmad Yani as an international airport is anticipated to boost Central Java's economy by attracting more businesses, tourists, and investments. Singapore and Malaysia are expected to be among the first routes to open soon. The official announcement regarding the opening date of the international routes is still pending.
