Mostar International Airport is set to enhance its international connections with new routes to Italy, complementing existing services. Despite rising operational costs, airfares to Italy are expected to remain competitive.
Sky Alps, an Italian regional carrier, will launch several new routes from Mostar, establishing a summer base with financial support. Starting in May 2025, twice-weekly flights will connect Mostar to Bergamo, Naples, and Palermo, in addition to existing flights to Rome and Munich. New routes to Bari and Catania are also planned. These routes are expected to benefit tourism, particularly for visitors to Medjugorje and for Bosnian citizens traveling to Italy.
In related news, Flynas is increasing its flight frequency between Sarajevo and Riyadh, raising the number of weekly flights to Jeddah from six to seven. This expansion signifies growing connectivity between Bosnia and Herzegovina and key destinations in Europe and the Middle East.
