❓QUESTION:
I have a banal question: after death, will I continue to be aware of myself, and how does this awareness happen, does the memory of a life lived remain?
❗️ANSWER lee:
Yes.
And the reason is not the one usually pictured. Even the meanings here are different. I would like to convey precisely the meaning, and not "here is yet another opinion to add to a hundred others."
The logic here is this: you are not the ego, and therefore the question of "will I continue after the end of the ego" does not arise. You are the Source, looking at itself through the filter of the ego.
When the body reaches the limit of its capacity for your energies, it ceases to maintain physical integrity.
Death is a going beyond the limits of the ego.
And you go beyond these limits, remaining the true Self, not the "me on my passport."
Right now you are not the ego, and therefore your consciousness in no way depends on the set of programs that the ego is. Just as the "death of a television" in no way affects the television broadcast, so the death of the body in no way affects your consciousness.
The ego's limitation falls away, and you become aware of yourself with crystal clarity. You directly realize who you are. This is not a "new existence," it is a remembering of the Whole Self.
And as a bonus to this awakening-remembering, there will also be a recognition of the multitude of your alternative versions. So you will not merely remember one of the versions, you will become aware of thousands of your variations.
After all, modern science is already beginning to understand that human memory is thoroughly false. Even during life we can recall dozens of different alternative events in the minutest detail. Although the "facts" will confirm only one of the versions. But that is a separate conversation…
Does life end with death? Does the memory of a life lived remain?
